| Obverse description | The central field displays the Cameroonian coat of arms — a shield bearing scales of justice surmounted by a star, flanked by two rampant lions — set within a polished mirror field. The upper legend reads REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arching above the denomination 500 FRANCS CFA, while the motto PAIX / TRAVAIL / PATRIE and its English equivalent PEACE / WORK / FATHERLAND appear in two columns flanking the arms. The date 2025 is inscribed to the lower left of the shield, with the fineness mark Ag 999 to the lower right. The entire central device is encircled by a raised beaded border, beyond which an outer annular band carries all twelve zodiac signs in relief, each occupying its own segment separated by radial lines. |

| Additional information |
The franc CFA — Coopération Financière en Afrique centrale — has been pegged to the euro at a fixed rate since 1999, and before that to the French franc, a monetary arrangement that dates to 1945 and remains politically contentious in Cameroon and across the fourteen nations still using it. A commemorative silver issue bearing an astronomical theme fits squarely into the modern collector program that the Monnaie de Paris has administered on behalf of the BEAC for decades.
Gemini is one of several zodiac-themed strikes in this ongoing series.
