| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a pentagonal planchet shaped to resemble a rustic wooden picture frame, with a triangular pediment at the top and a flat base. Within the framed field, radiating sun-ray lines emanate outward from a central circular medallion. The medallion features a right-facing diademed effigy of a monarch, encircled by the legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arching above and the date 2023 flanking the portrait.
