Reverse description The reverse presents a full-color reproduction of a detail from 'Ahasuerus, Wandering Jew,' painted by Polish-Jewish artist Maurycy Gottlieb in 1876, rendered across the entire coin face. The image depicts a bearded male figure wearing a weathered crown, his head tilted slightly downward in a contemplative or melancholic pose, set against a deep crimson background with dramatic chiaroscuro reminiscent of Old Master painting technique. The figure's dark garments and expressive, heavily textured brushwork are faithfully reproduced in full polychrome color. The artist's name 'MAURYCY GOTTLIEB' is inscribed in white serif lettering along the lower arc of the coin.
