Reverse description The reverse presents a highly detailed architectural view of the Court of the Myrtles (Patio de los Arrayanes) at the Alhambra palace complex in Granada, Spain, as engraved by Joaquin Vaquero Turcios. The composition is framed by a grand Moorish horseshoe arch in the foreground, supported by ornately decorated columns with intricate arabesque relief work, through which the Torre de Comares is visible rising above the colonnaded gallery at the far end of the courtyard. A central reflecting pool with a small fountain basin is depicted in the lower midfield, conveying the characteristic symmetry and serenity of Nasrid architecture. The legend 'L'ALHAMBRA' is inscribed in capital letters along the upper arc of the coin, and the date '1995' appears in the exergue at the bottom.
