The sheer number of signature combinations across this series — thirteen distinct pairings in twelve years — reflects the BCEAO's unusual dual-signature structure, where one signatory represents the member state holding the rotating presidency of the union's council of ministers, and the other the bank's governor. Alassane Ouattara signed as governor through the early dates before leaving in 1993 to take up the IMF deputy managing director post, which is why his name disappears from the 1994 issues onward.

Charles Konan Banny then held the governorship for the remainder of the series — an exceptionally long tenure that accounts for the bulk of the signature variants listed here.
