Obverse description Polychrome intaglio printing in dominant blue-violet and red, enclosed within an oval guilloche frame composed of intricate decorative patterns. Six cherubs and four allegorical figures personifying the Arts (including Music and Painting) and the Sciences populate the vignette, with denomination labels and value numerals rendered in red letterpress. At the foot of the note, the statutory legal warning against counterfeiting is set in three lines within a blue-bordered panel, while the date, serial number, and signatures appear in black.

Reverse description Printed predominantly in blue-violet, the upper register carries a frieze bearing the coats of arms of the nine Belgian provinces — with eight visible — flanked by the royal crown and the Belgian lion at centre. Two seated female allegories occupy the lateral margins, while the background vignette presents additional allegorical figures including a woman driving a chariot drawn by two winged horses.
