Obverse description Central field features a finely sculpted relief of a pair of figure skaters in a dynamic ice dancing pose, the male skater lifting his arms aloft while the female skater extends her arm gracefully to the left, both rendered in fine detail with ornate costuming. The denomination '500' appears prominently to the left of the figures, with 'FORINT' inscribed directly below. The legend 'MAGYAR NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG' (Hungarian People's Republic) arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin lettering. The mint mark 'BP.' and date '1980' are inscribed along the lower left field, with the engraver's initials 'KZ' positioned to the lower right of the central design.
