Reverse description The reverse presents a highly detailed relief depiction of the Iowa-class battleship USS Missouri (BB-63) underway at sea, shown in a three-quarter bow perspective with her formidable 16-inch gun turrets prominently rendered. The hull number 63 is visible on the bow, and finely engraved waves surround the vessel in the lower field. A spread-winged American eagle device appears at the upper apex of the rhombus-shaped flan. The bold incuse legend USS MISSOURI is inscribed in italicised letters across the lower portion of the design.
