| Obverse description | The obverse features a central medallion bearing the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after Susan Taylor's portrait, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA arching above and the denomination 500 DOLLARS inscribed below the bust.
