| Reverse description | The reverse centres on a single large, botanically detailed sugar maple leaf rendered in exceptional high relief, with prominent veining and a finely textured surface dominating the field. Flanking the central leaf are elaborate symmetrical scrollwork branches bearing multiple smaller maple leaves in graduated relief. Two cartouches above the central leaf each carry the fineness mark 9999. A ribbon banner below the central leaf bears the bilingual inscription 35 YEARS / ANS with the founding year 1988 at left and the issue year 2023 at right, commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Silver Maple Leaf bullion programme. The legend CANADA arches along the upper rim, while FINE SILVER 5kg ARGENT PUR is inscribed along the lower rim. |
