| Reverse description | A naturalistic composition depicting three large sugar maple leaves (Acer saccharum) rendered in high relief, their deeply lobed forms overlapping one another and filling the majority of the field. Delicate maple flower clusters with drooping stamens emerge from below the leaf group at centre, adding botanical precision to the design. The engraver's initials 'SW' appear to the lower right of the central leaf.
