| Additional information |
The Wedge-tailed Eagle series is among Perth Mint's most commercially successful annual bullion programs, but the 2019 issue carries a specific distinction: it introduced the sixth effigy of Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, whose portrait had already appeared on British coinage since 2015 but took several additional years to propagate across Commonwealth mint programs. Perth was notably slower than the Royal Canadian Mint in adopting the updated likeness.
At five troy ounces, this denomination sits in the tier Perth produces in genuinely limited annual quantities — far smaller runs than the one-ounce issues that dominate retail distribution.
