Additional information

The Year of the Snake is the sixth animal in the twelve-year lunar cycle, and 2025 marks the first Snake year to fall under a new British monarch in over six decades. The Royal Australian Mint's high-denomination lunar issues at this weight — a troy five-ounce format — are struck in comparatively small numbers, with collector demand concentrated almost entirely in Australian and East Asian markets.

This is also the first full lunar series to feature Charles III's effigy, making 2025 issues the inaugural Snake entry under his portrait.
