Reverse description The central vignette presents an intaglio view of the tiered stone mausoleum known as the Tomb of the Christian Woman (Kbour er Roumia), attributed to the Numidian royal dynasty, set against a rocky mountainous landscape. To the upper right, a war elephant carries standard-bearers in a howdah, rendered in detailed line engraving. The lower left bears a guilloche numeral panel '500' within a geometric border, and a further guilloche rosette with the numeral '500' appears at lower right.
