Na-Ma (Narodni Magazin) was one of Yugoslavia's early socialist-era department store chains, and like several large retail enterprises in the late 1950s, it issued its own internal scrip to manage employee advances and store credit — a practice tolerated within the self-management economic model Tito's government had been developing since the 1950 break with Soviet orthodoxy. These notes circulated exclusively within the store's own payment system, not in general commerce.
Paper scrip of this kind was printed in small quantities and treated as disposable administrative paper. Survival rate is low for that reason alone.
