Obverse description The national coat of arms of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina — a shield bearing a diagonal band accompanied by fleurs-de-lis, supported by stylised mantling — is prominently displayed in the upper central field. Beneath the arms, a detailed depiction of the historic Old Bridge (Stari Most) of Mostar spans the lower field, flanked by riverside architecture rendered in fine relief. The circular legend REPUBLIKA BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA arcs around the upper periphery, with the date 1995 inscribed along the lower rim, flanked by small floral ornaments. The Pobjoy Mint privy mark (PM) appears in the lower central field near the bridge.

Reverse description A central Olympic flame, rendered in bold stylised relief, rises from a triangular torch base positioned at the lower centre of the field. Six circular medallions, each depicting a different athletic discipline — including swimming, athletics, cycling, gymnastics, rowing, and skiing — are arranged around the flame, integrated among the tongues of fire. The Bosnian Olympic Committee emblem appears within the torch base. The legend EUROPEAN YOUTH OLYMPICS BATH arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination D500 is inscribed along the lower rim in the exergue.
