| Obverse description | The central vignette presents the intaglio statue of Nikola Tesla, as erected in Niagara Falls State Park on Goat Island, New York, set against a finely executed multicolour guilloche underprint. The bank title in all four official languages of Yugoslavia — Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian, and Macedonian — runs along the upper border, while the denomination "500 ДИНАРА / DINARA / DINARJEV / ДИНАРИ" is inscribed in the lower register. The composition is framed by elaborate lathe-work borders characteristic of Yugoslav banknote production of the period. |
