Reverse description Central device depicts the Imperial Iranian lion passant to the right, holding a sword in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun behind its back — the traditional Lion and Sun emblem of the Qajar dynasty. An Imperial crown surmounts the composition at the top of the inner field. The lion and sun device stands on a ground line, below which the denomination '500 Dinar' is inscribed in Persian numerals and Arabic script. The entire device is surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves and floral branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, with a fine reeded rim.
