Obverse description Draped and uniformed bust of Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar facing three-quarters right, portrayed in military dress with visible epaulettes and decorations. Oak sprigs flank the base of the effigy, lending a formal, regal character to the composition. The Persian legend naming the Shah as Sultan and Shahanshah of Iran appears in the field, with the AH date 1319 inscribed below the portrait.
