Obverse description At centre-left, an intaglio portrait of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) in Supreme Commander's dress uniform faces three-quarters left; the Garuda coat of arms appears at upper left and the Chakri Dynasty emblem at right. Commemorative Thai-script inscriptions record the 90th birthday of Princess Mother Srinagarindra (Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Borommarachachonnani), with the denomination rendered in both Thai (๕๐๐) and Arabic (500) numerals. Fine guilloche underprint patterning covers the note field throughout.
