Obverse description Green-toned note with a central photographic vignette of the MiG-31E export supersonic interceptor aircraft (dated 2005) on a tarmac, framed by guilloche borders. To the left, the anniversary inscription '75 ЛЕТ ОАО НАЗ «СОКОЛ» 1932–2007' appears in bold Cyrillic; to the right, a circular denomination medallion reads '500000 АВИАРУБЛЕЙ' within a decorative border. The right stub bears the coat of arms of Nizhny Novgorod — a stag passant — above a serial number and secondary denomination panel.

Comments

This is a privately issued fantasy note — not legal tender and never authorized by the Bank of Russia. The Nizhny Novgorod Aircraft Plant (known today as the Sokol aircraft plant) produced Soviet-era MiG fighters and continued limited production into the post-Soviet period, but the plant had no monetary issuing authority at any time. Notes of this type were produced commercially as novelty or souvenir items, often printed on polymer substrate specifically to mimic the look of modern banknotes while remaining technically outside forgery statutes.

The 500,000-rouble denomination is a deliberate anachronism, evoking the hyperinflationary Yeltsin-era denominations that were redenominated out of existence in 1998.
