| Obverse description | Cream-toned letterpress Notgeld note enclosed within an ornate scrollwork border of interlocking foliate motifs printed in blue-grey, with a vertical red guilloche rosette underprint band running centrally across the face. The heading 'GUTSCHEIN' is set in large Gothic blackletter at the top, followed by the issuing authority name and obligation text in Fraktur script, with the denomination '500 000,- Mk.' in bold blackletter numerals at centre and the written amount 'Fünfhunderttausend Mark' directly below.
