| Obverse description | Printed in blue and brown on a cream ground, the obverse carries a central panel framed by fine guilloche line-work, with lateral decorative borders composed of repeated heraldic vignettes of the Nuremberg city arms — a crowned eagle and a lion — set within hexagonal cartouches. The denomination and issuing authority are rendered in bold Gothic blackletter script, with the payment obligation text in a smaller cursive hand and two facsimile signatures flanking the date line reading NÜRNBERG, 11. AUGUST 1923. A red alphanumeric serial designation appears at the foot of the central panel, with the printer's name KÖRNER lettered below the outer frame. |

The denomination legend FÜNFHUNDERTTAUSEND runs along the top border and is repeated inverted along the bottom border, with the printer's imprint E.
