Obverse description The left panel carries a letterpress vignette of the Beueler Brückenkönnche — a folk-figure of a man drinking from a jug, rendered in dark ink with cross-hatched shading, captioned 'DIE ZEIT KANN MICH...' and 'DAT BEUELE BRÖCKEMANNCHE' below. The right field, printed in blue on a light guilloche underprint, bears the denomination 'Fünfhunderttausend Mark' in bold Fraktur script beneath the title 'Gutschein', with a serial number in the upper right corner, a circular municipal eagle stamp at centre, the issue date 'Beuel, den 15. August 1923', and a facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister at lower right.

Reverse description The entire reverse is occupied by a large landscape vignette printed in blue, showing the Rhine bridge (Rheinbrücke) between Bonn and Beuel — a steel arch span with flanking masonry towers reflected in the river below, the Bonn cityscape and Minster visible on the far bank beneath a dramatic clouded sky rendered in fine line work. A rectangular cartouche at the foot of the design carries the inscription 'RHEINBRÜCKE BONN - BEUEL'.
