| Obverse description | Printed in dark brown and red on cream paper, the obverse is dominated by a broad guilloche band across the upper third, at the centre of which sits a lozenge-shaped vignette bearing the denomination "Mark 500000 Mark" in bold Gothic lettering, flanked by ornate rosette underprints. Below, in large Kurrent script, the value "Fünfhunderttausend Mark" is set between ruled lines, followed by the payment clause referencing the Zwickauer Stadtbank Aktiengesellschaft. The issuing authority "Der Rat der Stadt Zwickau" and the date "30. Juli 1923" appear at the foot, accompanied by two manuscript signatures above the printed titles "Oberbürgermeister" and "Stadtkassendirektor". |
