| Obverse description | A teal-green guilloche border frames the note on all sides, with dense interlocking geometric and floral underprint filling the margins. The central text panel, executed in letterpress, carries the principal Magyar inscriptions with the denomination '500.000 KORONÁRÓL' set in bold type beneath a circular official seal of the Hungarian Kingdom. Three manuscript signatures appear at the foot of the text block alongside an embossed state seal, with the printer's imprint and series designation completing the lower margin. |

| Obverse lettering | MAGYAR KIRÁLYSÁG 5%-kal kamatozó járadékkölcsön. Kibocsáttatott az 1924. évi VI. törvénycikk alapján. ÁLLAMADÓSSÁGI KÖTVÉNY 500.000 KORONÁRÓL. A Magyar Királyi Pénzügyminisztérium elismeri, hogy ez az ÖTSZÁZEZER KORONÁRÓL szóló államadóssági kötvény a magyar királyság adómentes járadékadósságának egy részét alkotja. A m. kir. pénzügyminisztérium fenntartja magának, hogy ezt a járadékadósságot három hónapi előzetes felmondás mellett névértékben bármikor visszafizethesse. Az említett tőkéért minden év julius 1.-én évi 5% kamat fizettetik. A kamatok a lejárt szelvény beszolgáltatása ellenében, szintúgy a kötvénynek visszafizetése esetén annak tőkeértéke a kötvénynek és a felmondás határidejéig még le nem járt kamatszelvényeknek és szelvényutalványnak beszolgáltatása ellenében – szelvény, illetve a kötvény birtokosának választása szerint – felvehetők a m. kir. postatakarékpénztárnál és közvetítő hivatalainál és más a szelvények hátlapján megjelölt, valamint a m. kir. pénzügyminisztérium által kellő időben közhírré teendő fizetési helyeken. Ez a kötvény egy szelvényutalvánnyal és 12 évre szóló szelvényekkel van ellátva, melyeknek lejártatával a szelvényutalvány bemutatójának a szelvények egy új sorozata és új szelvényutalvány fog kiadatni. Hungary's hyperinflation of 1923–24 was among the most severe in interwar Europe, second only to Germany's. The 500,000 korona denomination reflects the tail end of that collapse — by late 1924, the korona had lost virtually all practical value, and the government was already engineering the currency reform that would introduce the pengő in 1927. Notes of this size were instruments of administrative necessity, not meaningful purchasing power.
The M. Kir. Állami Nyomda handled the entire domestic note and bond output during this period, working under extraordinary pressure as denominations escalated month by month.
