| Obverse description | Printed in violet on cream paper, the note is framed by a repeating letterpress border inscribed LANDKREIS BONN on all four sides. A central guilloche-enriched panel carries the issuer name in Gothic blackletter script above the denomination Eine halbe Milliarde Mark in bold display type, with the numeral 500 MILLIONEN beneath a decorative scrollwork band. To the right, a block of text states the note's acceptance by all public treasuries and its validity conditions, dated Bonn, 1. Oktober 1923, below which appears a circular Kreis-Ausschuss Bonn eagle stamp and the manuscript signature of the Kreis-Deputierter. A vertical left panel rotated 90 degrees carries the circulation area inscription and validity date Gültig bis zum 1. April 1924, with the series letter and serial number printed at lower centre. |
