| Obverse description | Notgeld issued by the municipality of Wald, printed in purple-brown on plain paper, with a central oval guilloche underprint enclosing the large letterpress denomination '500 Millionen MARK' in bold type. A band of ornate rosette corner-pieces frames the note, and a circular municipal seal of Wald is applied by handstamp at centre. The series letter 'K' appears in the upper right corner, the issue date 'Wald, den 23. Sept. 1923' at lower left, and a manuscript signature above the title 'Bürgermeister' at lower right. |
