| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in red-pink tones on a fine guilloche underprint, with the denomination '500 000 000' in large numerals at upper left and upper right corners, and again in bold figures at lower left. At left centre, the circular vignette of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe seal bears the Zimbabwe bird motif. The cheque text, rendered in letterpress, states the obligation to pay the bearer on demand the sum of Five Hundred Million Dollars on or before 31st December 2008, with issue date 2nd May 2008, followed by the Governor's facsimile signature and title. |
