Obverse description Green intaglio print on multicolored guilloche underprint. To the right, a vignette of a peasant woman in traditional folk attire holding sheaves of wheat; to the left, a diamond-shaped guilloche ornament with the numeral 50. Central text reads BANK POLSKI, PIĘĆDZIESIĄT ZŁOTYCH, with the place and date of issue WARSZAWA, DNIA 20 SIERPNIA 1939 R., three signature lines (PREZES, NACZELNY DYREKTOR, GŁÓWNY SKARBNIK), and a serial number in red. The imprint AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY appears at the lower margin.

Reverse description Printed entirely in green intaglio, the reverse is dominated by a large landscape vignette of the Dunajec River Gorge in the Pieniny mountains, with a figure on the rocky bank and wooded cliffs rising steeply on either side. The denomination PIĘĆDZIESIĄT ZŁOTYCH is inscribed in an arched panel at the top, and the numeral 50 appears in two lower corners. A guilloche ornament with the numeral 50 is at right, and the bottom margin carries the legal tender legend and the AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY imprint.
