Reverse description A three-quarter facing bust of Władysław I Herman, Duke of Poland, depicted in medieval attire including a mail coif and cloak, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail by engraver Stanisława Wątróbska-Frindt. The word 'próba' (meaning 'trial' or 'pattern') is inscribed in small lettering within the field to the right of the portrait. The legend 'WŁADYSŁAW I HERMAN' arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin characters. The regnal dates '1079 · 1102' appear in the lower field, flanking the bust, with dot separators. The overall design is austere and monumental, befitting the commemorative series of Polish rulers issued during this period.
