| Obverse description | The Polish crowned eagle displayed — the national emblem of the Polish People's Republic — occupies the central field, rendered in a stylized socialist heraldic style without a crown, with wings spread and head facing dexter. The date 1981 is inscribed in two parts flanking the eagle's lower body. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA arcs along the upper rim in Latin characters. Below the eagle, the denomination 50 is prominently rendered in large numerals, flanked by the currency abbreviations ZŁ on each side with raised dot stops. The mint mark of the Warsaw Mint (MW) appears in small letters beneath the eagle. |
