| Obverse description | The Polish state eagle displayed in high relief at centre, rendered in the socialist heraldic style without a crown, wings spread and head turned to the dexter. The denomination '50' in large numerals occupies the lower portion of the field, flanked by the currency abbreviations 'ZŁ' on either side. The mint date '19 80' is positioned in two parts to the left and right of the eagle's body at mid-field.
