| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in deep blue on a pale rose-pink underprint and is dominated by an elaborate guilloche border with scalloped edges and dense lathe-work ornaments at each corner. At upper centre, within the arched legend band, sits the Polish state eagle with wings spread; large numeral '50' counters appear at left and right within the guilloche work. The denomination 'PIĘĆDZIESIĄT ZŁOTYCH' is set in bold letterpress across the centre, beneath which a three-line legal tender and anti-counterfeiting inscription appears above the date '1944', with the two-part serial number printed in red at the lower left and right margins. |
