The 2014 Chinese Lunar series 150-gram silver issues were produced at the Shanghai and Shenyang mints under strict mintage controls — the 50 Yuan face value is a nominal figure bearing no relationship to bullion content, a deliberate policy the People's Bank has maintained across its precious metal commemorative program since the 1980s. Mintage for this issue was capped at 60,000 pieces.
