China's lunar gold series has been issued annually since 1981, making the Goat one of the later entries in an unbroken run now spanning multiple full zodiac cycles. The People's Bank caps mintage tightly on these fractional gold pieces, and the 2015 Goat was produced to the same 30,000-piece limit applied to most one-tenth ounce lunar issues of that period.
