Bank of China teller training notes — known in Chinese as 点钞券 (diǎn chāo quàn) — were produced for internal staff use to practice counting, sorting, and handling techniques without the risk of real currency being damaged or lost. They were never intended for circulation and carry no monetary value. The Bank of China issued these in denominations mirroring the live People's Republic series so that training conditions matched genuine handling scenarios as closely as possible.
Survivors appear occasionally on the collector market through former bank employees. Official destruction protocols were inconsistently applied.
