| Obverse description | Vertical format printed in green and dark olive-green. A central scalloped cartouche carries the large denomination characters 伍拾圓 (50 Yuan). The issuer inscription 陕甘宁边区贸易商业公司流通券 appears above the cartouche in two lines, with the serial number printed twice in red — once at the top and once at the bottom of the note. Corner medallions bear the denomination characters 伍拾, and two red seal impressions appear at the lower centre. The date 中華民國三十三年 (Republic of China Year 33, i.e. 1944) is printed at the foot. |

| Reverse description | Vertical format printed entirely in black on plain paper. The reverse is occupied by a dense block of Chinese text arranged in vertical columns, setting out the conditions of use and circulation regulations for the note within the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. Numeral 50 counter-marks appear in each corner within octagonal frames, and a decorative border of stylised foliage surrounds the text panel. The year 1944 appears in Western numerals at the foot centre. |
