| Obverse description | A stylised frontal depiction of a Brandt's hedgehog (Hemiechinus hypomelas) occupies the central field, rendered in low relief with fine radiating quill detail fanning outward across the upper portion of the coin. The dark, smooth facial area of the animal is shown in high contrast against the surrounding spines, with small eyes and a rounded snout visible at centre.
