| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of Tsar Ferdinand I facing left, with a neatly trimmed beard, rendered in high relief in a refined academic style by engraver R. Marschall. The Cyrillic legend ФЕРДИНАНДЪ I runs along the left rim, while ЦАРЬ НА БЪЛГАРИТѢ continues around the right, both separated from the portrait by a plain field. The engraver's signature R.MARSCHALL appears in small lettering below the truncation of the bust. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim. |
