| Reverse description | Central design features a stylized frontal depiction of the Staff God (Viracocha or Wari deity), a pre-Columbian Andean iconographic motif rendered in bold geometric relief. The figure displays an elaborate stepped crown, a banded torso with a stepped fret device, and outward-splayed feet with feline or serpentine appendages; four maize or floral elements flank the central image symmetrically. The surrounding legend, arranged clockwise and counterclockwise along the periphery, reads CINCUENTA SOLES ORO at upper left and GRAMOS 33.436 FINO 0.900 at lower left and right. The word REPRODUCCION appears in small letters at the base of the central device, indicating this is an official reproduction issue. The entire composition is framed by a beaded border. |
