Obverse description The obverse is executed in intaglio in blue-grey tones on a fine guilloche underprint, with a central vignette of a seated allegorical female figure representing the Republic of Peru, holding a shield and accompanied by a llama at her side. The bank title BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ arches across the top in letterpress, with the denomination numeral 50 repeated in the four corners within ornate rosette frames. Serial numbers in red, the series designation, and the place and date of issue appear in their respective positions, with three facsimile signatures of bank officials at the lower margin above the printer's imprint.
