| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Oliver Cromwell facing left, rendered in high relief in the classical Roman manner, engraved by Thomas Simon. The effigy presents a naturalistic portrait with carefully detailed facial features, flowing hair beneath the laurel wreath, and a truncated neck. The circumferential legend in Latin reads around the periphery of the coin, separated by pellet stops, with a milled border encircling the entire design. |
