| Obverse description | Central device depicts the seal of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, featuring an eight-rayed sun with a central triangle enclosing a smaller device, all rendered in bold relief. The circular legend BANGKO SENTRAL NG PILIPINAS arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 1966 appears in the lower field flanked by two small stars. The design is executed in a clean, modernist style with strong geometric elements. A beaded border runs along the inner rim. |

Pattern coinage from the Bangko Sentral's 1966 design trials predates the Marcos-era Pilipino series that formally launched in 1969. These exploratory strikes were produced to test compositions and specifications before the central bank committed to a final circulating design — copper was ultimately rejected at this denomination in favor of a copper-clad steel alloy. KM# Pn10 is one of several documented pattern variants from this period, none intended for release.
