Obverse description Dark olive-grey note with a central vignette of two confronting dragons amid swirling clouds, rendered in fine intaglio engraving. The Imperial chrysanthemum seal appears at the top centre, flanked by guilloche panels bearing floral motifs and the numeral 50 at each corner; vertical kanji denomination characters 五拾銭 are set in the central field. A circular red chop seal is applied to the left of centre, and the title legend in kanji runs horizontally across the upper register.

Reverse description Pale green note with guilloche border framing a central rectangular text panel carrying a multi-line anti-counterfeiting notice in Chinese characters. The denomination 五拾錢 appears in large kanji across the lower portion of the note, with the numeral value 50 SEN in Roman script repeated in the upper left and upper right corners within decorative cartouches.
