Reverse description A central sunburst radiates from the middle of the field, flanked on both sides by cherry blossom (sakura) sprays. The authority legend 'Dai Nippon' (Great Japan) arches across the upper portion of the field, flanked by decorative floral rosettes. The date in Japanese era notation, 'Shōwa 13' (昭和十三年), appears along the lower margin. The entire design is enclosed within a stylized sacred mirror (kagami) border, lending the reverse a distinctly ceremonial and symbolic character.
