| Obverse description | Central to the obverse is the national emblem of Pakistan featuring the crescent and star in bold relief, flanked on either side by stylised wheat sheaves. The Arabic legend اسلامی جمہوریہ پاکستان (Islamic Republic of Pakistan) curves along the upper periphery, while the denomination 50 and the word روپیہ (Rupee) appear to the right and left of the central device respectively. The date 2021 is inscribed in the lower field beneath the central motif. A laurel wreath frames the lower portion of the design, and the coin is bordered by a continuous reeded rim. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features a central depiction of the Pakistan Navy submarine PNS Hangor (S131) shown surfacing through stylised ocean waves, rendered in strong relief. Above the submarine, the Pakistan Navy crest is prominently displayed. The commemorative Arabic legend curves along the upper periphery, reading گولڈن جوبلی۔ یوم ہنگور ۹ دسمبر ۱۹۷۱ء (Golden Jubilee, Youm-e-Hangor, 9 December 1971). A further inscription پاکستان نیوی آبدوز ہنگور (Pakistan Navy Submarine Hangor) appears in the lower field. The design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
