| Obverse description | Central field features the traditional Nepalese royal cipher rendered as an ornate yantra-style geometric design, composed of interlocking rectangles and curved arms arranged in a cruciform pattern. A trident symbol occupies the centre of the design, flanked by subsidiary devices including a sun motif and a conch shell in the lateral panels. The legend in Devanagari script reading the royal title and name of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev appears distributed within and around the geometric compartments. The Bikram Sambat regnal year 2038 is inscribed at the base of the central device. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
