Obverse description	At left, a vignette of Mount Everest rises above a guilloche underprint in green and blue tones; at centre, the Ram Janaki Temple is rendered in fine intaglio line work. The date 2069 B.S. appears in Devanagari numerals, and a watermark window at right is reserved for the Rhododendron flower watermark. Bank name and denomination inscriptions appear in both Devanagari and numeral form within the border panels.

Reverse description	The central vignette presents an intaglio engraving of a Himalayan Tahr (Hemitragus jemlahicus), a wild mountain goat, standing on rocky terrain before a panoramic Himalayan mountain range rendered in fine line engraving. The watermark window occupies the left portion of the note, while the issuer name NEPAL RASTRA BANK appears at the top, denomination RUPEES FIFTY and the year 2012 A.D. are inscribed along the lower panel, all framed by ornate scroll-work borders in dark blue.
