This series straddles one of the most consequential transitions in Nepali history: the formal abolition of the 240-year-old Shah monarchy and the declaration of a federal democratic republic in May 2008. The Rastra Bank continued issuing notes under the same Pick number through that rupture, which is why two governors' signatures appear across the run — Manandhar signed before the republic was proclaimed, Khatiwada after.

Signature varieties within P#63 are the primary collecting distinction here.
