| Obverse description | The centre of the obverse bears the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia, designed by artist I. Bilibin, executed in a heraldic style. The Leningrad Mint monogram (ЛМД) appears beneath the eagle to the right as a mint mark. A circular legend at the top reads «ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ 1993 г.» (FIFTY ROUBLES 1993) and at the bottom «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA), both inscriptions running along the inner rim of the outer ring. |
